La Posada Providencia is a shelter for poor immigrants, asylees and asylum-seekers who come from around the world to find safety, security and opportunities for a better life. Since 1989, La Posada has provided a safe haven for more than 5,000 people from more than 70 countries. Located in the lower Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, we provide shelter, food, training, transportation and mentoring to today’s immigrants. La Posada Providencia is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Divine Providence. We welcome your gifts of time, talent, treasure and prayer.
